I’m proud to say that we in the infodesk have managed well the first party day. Nothing major issues has come up. I had luckily a program installed which I could use to make some info posters around the Areena when there was something needed. I’ve made almost ten new posters already :)

About GameDev compo, there were quite few original ideas in there. The chicken with big guns was the best. I was quite amazed by the fact somebody made a pinball game on the compo, but then again the ball was either a (wo?)man or a cow. So it actually had some humor factor also. I’ll give my vote for the chicken! Do give yours also @ PTN!

Here’s my first pic from Assembly Infodesk!

Went to Areena round 14 or so. Got my badge and got some duties right after that… Helped with the building. It was rather easy compared the stuff I’d done in Jyväskylän Kesä roadee team. Organizer meeting was almost exact copy of last years meeting. Good thing some things are almost the same ;)

Didn’t take any pictures yet, but I will take some during the event and post the urls in here :) Left Areena about 18.30 and arrived my cousins place in Leppävaara. Then I ate grilled steak and rösti potatoes. After eating we had some beer and Malibu pineapple drink (8 cl Malibu and pineapple juice). Now I’m quite relaxed and almost ready for bed. I have to be at Areena at about 9 o’clock. That’s when the real fun begins! Now off and sleep at some point.

Yeah, I haven’t been writing here because I’ve been working as a roadee and audio and visual technician in Jyväskylän Kesä. Being a roadee basically ripped me completely off from my everyday life. I woke every morning about six o’clock in the morning and came home dead tired at midnight or later.

My stay at Assembly is interrupted by the wedding of my cousin Heidi and her boyfriend Kari in Kärkölä. So I’m not able to be at party place on saturday, but I’m going to be a driver for my other cousin and her boyfriend so they can have fun (get wasted) in the wedding. I’m left with just the food (there’s better be plenty of it, all sorts) and drive back to Espoo middle of the night. Cheers! Then I have one six hour shift on sunday and then Assembly is over again. :I

I just realized I have to tune my scooter a bit so it’s unique and not just one of the many Biltema scooters out there. ;) Thank god I have my GNU & Linux stickers and other crap I can decorate it with.

Oh well, that’s about it again. _o/

Hmh, it’s still a while before the event. Still I’ve got mainly all my stuff ready. I bought a scooter last month already and I’ve got my ride to the event sorted out too.
I’m coming with Jaakko “jazzu” Vallo, my fellow student and a member of Livecrew. It’s going to be car pool so it costs propably less than a train ticket to Helsinki.
During the event I’m going to sleep, if needed, at my cousins flat. So that’s sorted out too. Now I’m just waiting for the event and the work schedule.
It’s good I’ve got other projects too ;)
