The AssemblyTV streams are broadcast using two different methods.
The recommended method to use is RTP. If it does not work, the second
option is to use our MMS streams. Simply follow the instructions below.

Quick step by step guide
1. Click on the links
First
you can try just clicking on one the the RTSP links below. If a player
opens and the stream starts you are done. If this does not work, try
one of the MMS links. If this doesn't work either, go to step 2.
Download the VLC 0.8.2 (older versions are not supported) installer from here and run it. Choose to install the plugins as well. Now try step 1 again. If this does not work, try step 3.
3. VLC manually
Try
opening one of the RTSP links by dragging them into the main VLC window
or copying them into the RTSP editbox in the "Open Network Stream..."
window. If this does not work, look at the Firewall and NAT guide.
If
RTP does not work, try opening one of the MMS links by copying them
into the HTTP/HTTPS/FTP/MMS editbox in the "Open Network Stream..."
window, modifying
the link to begin with mmsh instead of mms and then clicking ok. If
this does not work, see the HTTP proxy guide.
4. Ask for help

Using IRC is probably faster as we may not have time to answer emails
quickly, but other users can help you on IRC.
Guides for specific issues
Firewall and NAT with RTP streams RTP
uses UDP transfer to push the stream to the player. The ports used on
it must be open on your firewall. If you use NAT (Network Address
Translation), these ports need to be forwarded to the machine viewing
the stream. Both features are common in household routers. The specific
ports needed are UDP 1234-1236 for VLC and UDP 6970-6999 for Quicktime
Player. Please refer to your router manual for instructions on how to make these ports pass through. HTTP proxies If the MMS stream fails to open, you may need a HTTP proxy to access HTTP
content (common in enterprise networks).
In VLC you can enter the proxy address in "Settings ; Preferences.." under "Access modules" and "HTTP/HTTPS" using
the format address:port.
In
Windows Media Player 9 proxy settings are in "Tools ; Options" in the
"Network" tab. After clicking "Configure..." you can ask Windows Media
Player to use the settings from your web browser. Alternatively you can
enter the proxy server address and port by hand.
Complete player compatibility guide
VLC VLC
0.8.2 is used to create our streams and is thus the most compatible
player. It is also supported on many platforms. You can use VLC 0.8.2
to watch all our streams. Older versions than 0.8.2 will probably not
work and are unsupported. On Max OS X you should have the newest version of Quicktime installed for VLC to work properly. Quicktime Player Quicktime Player 6 and newer versions support the RTP streams which are in MPEG-4 video + AAC audio format native to Quicktime. Windows Media Player Windows Media Player 9 supports the MMS streams out of the box. They are in the Windows Media Video 2 + MP3 format. RealOne Player RealOne
Player v10 (and possibly older versions) supports the MMS streams
atleast on Windows 2K/XP when Windows Media Player 9 is installed. This
might not be a requirement and the streams might work on other
platforms as well, but we cannot guarantee it.
