AssemblyTV is a nonprofit IT-lifestyle TV-channel functioning as a part of the ASSEMBLY computer festival. The broadcast covers the most important events of Assembly, such as the competitions, opening and prize ceremonies. In addition, we offer the hottest demos (=realtime multimedia presentations) and games as well as interesting discussions and documents about different aspects of the computerized world.
The channel is targetted at IT-enthusiasts as well as those interested in the IT style of living. We provide the visitors' parents, friends, and all who couldn't make it to the party a chance to see and understand what Assembly and the visitor's style of life is about.
The channel has been available in its current length (80 hours of broadcast, 24h/day during the party) from year 2000. The live broadcast is available during the festivals on Finnish television networks and on the internet. The next broadcast starts on 3th of August 2006.
